About Face is a tale of two typical characters residing in outback Australia. Gary is a hot-headed impatient 26 year old who does not like being beaten by simple things, like snakes. Ezra is an older, more laid back character, able to take things as they come, and has no objections to spending an afternoon in the sun.

About Face tells the story of how Gary deals with, or does not deal with (depending on your interpretation) the little problem of an 8ft snake in their land rover. As a person phobic of things that slither and hiss, I�m with Ezra, I ain�t going near it!

Some comments in the guestbook mentioned the need for more research on snakes, I don�t know a lot about snakes (given my above comment that is no surprise) but I didn�t think the details about the snake were important - Gary�s ingenuity, impatience, embarrassment, frustration and perhaps stupidity are, and life is all the research we need to know all about these things!

Well worth the read for an insight on a slice of Australian life and the characters venturing forth in and out of our bush.
