And Then He Came Back

This story explores the idea that souls meet once and kept re-meeting through different physical incarnations.

The story starts with a direct, simple voice; a retelling of events in the first person, with the events laid down and the judgement supplied by the reader.

The story opening dragged me in and raised my interest, while the end left me a little disappointed. The characterisation is shallow (partly because it is such a short story), enabling the reader to keep their distance instead of being pulled in to the tale.

Im a bit of a stickler for time lines and detail, and I find it hard to swallow that Sam could be in an adult body after dying only a year ago.

Still it is an interesting premise, and the story is worth a read.
