lare was bored. But she knew not to do everything at once, because she still had three weeks of holidays. Finally, she got up and strode over to the computer. While she waited for the computer to load, she flipped through an old book, which their cat had torn up the week before. The computer hummed, signaling it was ready. Clare immiediatly clicked on the Internet sign. It was her favourite spot. Then she went to the E Mail place. At least I could find a penpal, she thought. As she ran her eyes down the page, she saw a girl from England, who had the same interests as her. As Clare was a curious girl, she clicked on the name-Clara. There was a lot of information on her. Finally, after reading it through, she decided to ask her if she would like to be her penpal.
Two weeks after she had written to Clara, asking to be her penpal, she got a replie. It said she was Jewish, and also had a twin sister called Nina. As she dove further into her letter, she found it all the more interesting. She wrote back straight away. Almost two days later, she got a replie. Now I don't want to bore you telling you how many letters they got, so I'll tell you what happened about a month later. After they had sent many letters to each other, a curious problem came into Clare's computer. None of her letters were sent to anyone, because of this problem, and far away in England, Clara thought she had not written because she was Jewish. That night, Clare and her family went out, promising to ring Clara when they got home.
Later that night, the phone rang. It was Clara. After a long talk, they settled things between them, and promised to write. And for all I know, they are still writing.
