The Three Billy Goats Un-Gruffed

(or, no longer grim)

hat's wrong with you, you silly goats?
Why use that bridge? Why not use the moat?
Come on with me - I have a boat!"
So there went the girl with the three billy goats.

The goats and the girl came to the land -
They saw tall trees - put their toes in the sand -
The girl docked the boat - the goats lent a hand -
And they followed her lead 'cause she had command.

What would they see? What would they hear?
What could they learn? What do they fear?
Is this Paradise - so far yet so near?

They all see the sun - as bright as can be...
The goats feel the wind and now they are free...
There's even no fear of the world's tallest tree!
"Where's that troll now - he can't bother me!"

"Oh, what will we eat? What will we wear?"
"Oh, pooh!" said the girl. "What do we care?
We can do what we want - we can go anywhere!"

"Nothing's too hard - life's just not that bad.
Why waste it in sorrow - why choose to be sad?
Why wear that frown? Why not be glad?"

"We can do what we want - we can get what we need
Because all of this life is for us to achieve -
We can be anyone if we only conceive
that just who we are is one who believes!"

"So," said the girl, "get back on your boat.
Don't be concerned, you are smart goats.
Any you never again need to fear that mean troll -
Because you can win - just walk towards your goal."
