Blue Theme

Lance wants to impress Erin; he does so with candlelight, wine, mood music and sincerity.

Erin is still mourning a loss, and is unsure about her readiness for another relationship - she feels guilt as a result of enjoying time with Lance.

The characters are drawn neatly, with the situation apparent through the dialogue.

The title works, and helps to reinforce the mood set.

The end is rushed, (I found the same with Reception - also by James) but the length of the piece forces this; there is potentially a whole other story to come.

This piece is very different to the other pieces we have had from James - more relaxed, and I think, more rounded. It is gratifying to see an authors progress, well done James!
