Clowning Around

A story of two nice people who really love each other and just have to remind each other that it takes a bit of effort once in a while. Steve is a man of routine. His spouse, Rosie, likes to think she isn't. Rosie wants a break from routine. It takes Steve a little while to find a way, and it is nearly a flop!

Well put together - makes the reader interested in the characters and interested to find out what is going to happen next. Nice pace. A story to smile by. The way the ending is worded could do with a bit of adjustment, I thought. As it stands, Steve seems a bit slow to respond. The story could be developed more by bringing in Steve's parents. His mother certainly sounds like someone we'd like to know more of.

All in all, I thought this story almost deserved a 'highly commended'
