What really happened to the dinosaur? Did a huge meteor crash down on earth, sending debris into the atmosphere, which blocked out the sun and caused plant life to die? And then, did the animals that followed in the food chain disappear? Scott Kaiser has different ideas.
There is an interesting sequence of reasoning here. Who knows for certain what happened millions of year ago? I commend the writer for having the courage to disagree with scientific speculation, because that is what it really is, speculation.
On the craft side, the writer should demonstrate what he is theorizing by taking the reader back in time, and then show him what it was like to live amongst the dinosaurs. I think it would make for an interesting read. Go for it.
