My face is smiling
With a birds eye view of guilt, submerged anguish and pent up anger Ian has given us a riveting tale of a life in shock. After the tragic death of his wife Frank allows the anger to become a cold hard ball within him. His life is supported by his friends, Paul and Zanetta, thus increasing his misery when he finds himself increasingly drawn to his best friends wife.
The different stages of grief are bulled through with the help of wine, prescription medications and trips to see the hospital psychiatrist. Many readers who have experienced similiar loss will recognize the obvious signs of unresolved grief.
At times the first person POV gets tedious, especially towards the end but a good finish rounds off a good story. Nicely done, Ian.
