Not much can be said about the plot of this short-short story without spoiling the ending. Richard is standing in the rain at a funeral, and certain things give him flashbacks...
The dearth of apostrophes is a bit distracting, and more attention could be paid to avoiding cliched phrases/ideas, (rain at a funeral, silken skin, warm cheek, eyes the color of sky) but otherwise this is an even-toned piece of work.
