Hemorrhoids of the Gods

Gwendoline is on a mission from God, but if she's our Saviour, God help us.

A unique story. I truly hope the characters aren't based on real people. It would be frightening to think people like this actually existed.

There's little to criticise in the story as it's the sort of toilet humour that doesn't need to make sense. The technical execution of the writing is solid, so there's nothing to criticise there either.

I'd be a little worried about the references to real people, they might take offence and sue. Your probably safe with the Bill Gates reference, but Howard Stern and William Shatner might not like theirs.

I like the treatment of God, but others may find it offensive, depending on their religious beliefs.

Not being a lover of cats I like what happens to them. Almost all the Bios of authors I've read has them mentioning their pet cat. And cats often feature in stories as intelligent, wise and sentient. It's nice to see a different approach to cats.

Apart from being a totally surreal story the language use is excellent. You take stock descriptive passages like 'Trying to appear feline, she slinked as she moved' This creates a certain ambience which is totally redefined by 'and coughed up a furball.' Other stock concepts receive similar treatment, making the story a fascinating read.

I found the story funny in a grotesque sort of way. It won't appeal to everyone as you need a sick and twisted sense of humour.
