Escaping Light is a story of being, awareness and consciousness. Beyond that I can say little else on the plot, in case you haven't read it yet.

Maybe I'm just impatient, and that's entirely possible, but I found that the not-knowing-what's-going-on went on longer than I really liked. The author's use of language is consistent with the confusion experienced by the entity in question, but after a while I began to wish that the reader was being given a few more clues. "remnant thought" at the beginning was the only one I found.

I liked the clarity of the language, the author obviously put a lot of thought into trying to capture the entity's struggle for words to express a wordless state of being. For the sheer pleasure of that, the story is worth reading.
