A man named J. A spurned lover. A waitress named Crystal. Where is it going? Where has it been? Were Maria's words that important to J? Which words were they? And is the whole point that he gets another woman to bend to his will because she told him her name and he didn't share his? I was left with these questions and many more as I read this work. The writing itself is dramatic and descriptive but the point is lost somewhere between the chomping mouth and the title of the story. Maybe if this work was a little more drawn out or reworked it could be a workable piece but without the above questions answered, one wants to just look at the end.
