Touching and sympathetic. This work takes a look at the unique, funny, heartbreaking relationship between daughter and father and how one father makes his little girls' 21st birthday a little more cheery during a huge crisis in her life.
The author uses almost complete dialogue to tell the story of a daughter in need of her parents comfort and love.
The quick banter and easy style fits to a daughter and father having a conversation and every bit of it seems realistic and believable. The corny thing her father does to cheer her up and the "I love you but I don't know what to say" attitude is wonderfully true. Sweetly touching, it makes you smile and cry all in the same moment.
