Sometimes The Innocent Need To Die

A King is sitting in sole judgment of his friend. He knows his friend not only to be innocent, but to be a hero. If he sets his friend free, civil war breaks out. If he convicts, his loyal friend will die unjustly. What will the King do? What would you do?

This author is a new addition at the Collective, and his writing is welcome. His style is crisp and clear. The sentence structure is strong. The characters are well defined.

On the subject of craft, there is a piece of information missing from the story. This reader needs to know more about the specifics of how an innocent verdict would result in catastrophe. Without these details giving justification, my intellect prevented my feelings from getting completely involved.

That being said, I look forward to reading more from this writer.
