A Review of SpringBourne97
The review of SpringBourne 97 is a factual account of a pagan festival. Our author relates his first hand experiences over a couple of days and introduces the reader to a strange and spiritual encounter.
Tommy and his wife are new to this festival and the writing conveys the awe and inspiration convincingly. The reader is left in no doubt that this was a deeply moving encounter for the author. The subject matter is unique and captivating and I found myself wanting to know more. On this level the story/review works quite well.
The only problem I had with this story was a lack of description. Although the camp is described as "rustic" with "modern facilities" I found it difficult to picture the setting. Just a few more clues would have stimulated my imagination. To the same end I had difficulty picturing the characters we are introduced to. Tommy mentions many names and yet there are no descriptions to help you fill out the characters.
There is emotion and passion in this story. With a little more "filling" on some of the visual aspects it would complete a very good piece of writing.
