Selma Revisited has a very nice feel. It is easy to sympathize with sam, who is returning to a place where he was once persecuting for marching for his beliefs. The author does a respectable job portraying him in this short, well structured piece.
I had such a sense of honour and principle while i was reading it, that the violent ending staggered me. I didn't see it coming, and I am not comfortable with it, nor am I comfortable with being asked to accept it as the norm as I think this story is doing.
Call me a dreamer, but I really would have liked to have seen Sam get back on that bus.
