Three Days to Glory

Three days can be a long time in someones life, especially if the events of three days cause you to look at who you are, what you believe and where you are going in life.

These three days in the life of James result in his future becoming crystal clear in his mind, he turns his back on drugs and shallowness to move forward, with the woman of his dreams.

I found the second last paragraph, which begins He realized he had ... to be forced. If the story and the story telling is strong enough the message will be loud and clear. Im guilty of writing this before, but I think it is important that writers trust their readers, and their own ability to weave the message with the action.

Two little things:
colorless white ??? & while it could just be me, I think the sentence beginning Simon decided to go.... and ending further education in the States, needs to be two sentences, or the last there needs to be spelt out. To me it reads as if there is the States, when in fact its the UK.
