The story opens with an all to familiar scene, running late for work.
Jenny Chamber is a caring doctor, she dislikes the way funding to medical centres is constantly being reduced compromising patient care and increasing patient suffering. Jenny does what she can do ease any suffering she witnesses. I wont spoil the story for you by telling you the end, if you read carefully youll see it coming, but the tone is unexpected.
This story is an easy, enjoyable - if somewhat chilling - read.
I was a little distracted by the repetition of the various characters opinions of funding cuts, especially as this wasnt addressed in terms of how it would change Jennys situation or actions. Some of the description relating to funding cuts doesnt add anything to the story, although perhaps it is meant to indicate the drastic nature of the cuts, and provide a reason for the path Jenny chooses.
I recommend you read the story of a truly caring professional........
