Zombie Brother

Welcome to post apocalypse suburbia. The dead are out to stretch their legs. Zombies roam everywhere making meals of the unzombified. How long can Billy and his little brother Andrew survive?

A story with a strong plot, that moves to slowly to be frightening. I found myself skim reading in order to pick the pace up.

There is section of info dump right at the start. It's used to set the scene, but is boring to read. Most of what is said is evident in the story and the rest could be easily added.

There's a few sentences that just don't make sense. So some proof reading wouldn't go astray.

It's an action filled story, where the action has been ground to a halt be unnecessary verbiage. The story would be much better if it was given a stronger sense of urgency in the fight and flight scenes.

No reason is even hinted at as to why the dead are suddenly up and about.  It's not relevant to the story as such, but it's the sort of story hole I liked filled up.

I wasn't able to generate sympathy for the characters. This has nothing to with the writing, but the fact the characters are dweebs, whom I just couldn't like.

The zombies are well written. I got a good picture of them shambling about.
