A quirky tale, aptly titled. I am amazed that any author can conjure up a coherent story revolving around garlic.

Not only did the story manage to keep my interest (I had to read on, I couldn�t believe it could possibly lead anywhere!), the irony made me smile a little wry smile.

There are many variations on this theme, and any mother knows a least a few foods by several names, and many people have a paranoia about accidentally consuming a food they dislike.

One word choice that struck me as odd was �smilingly�, how do you say something smilingly??

The story tells of the mass consumption of garlic by the Dennis family, all excluding Graham Dennis, what is his wife, Sue (of the garlic fetish) to do??

If you want my advice, someone better tell her about garlic salt immediately.
