This story is one of friendship and death. It most aptly characterizes the bond between two good friends until a car accident takes his life. Liquid reality teaches a lesson that is good for all of us to remember about our beloved close ones who have died.

It is written very tightly with no fussy "hearts and flowers" approach. It shows the compassion, the closeness and the grief one after the other and the story flows quite smoothly (part of it, I hesitate to reflect, is from the real life reference to Jamie). What Sam does is what most of us wish we could do quickly- get to the point of saying good-bye to our lost friends
