The Snow Globe

can't believe I'm finally getting my own house," Julie thought as she pulled into the driveway of her new house. The house wasn't overly fancy or anything but she liked it any ways. She took a few things out of her car and started walking towards the front door.

"It's going to need a bit of fixing up but when all that's done it's going to be beautiful." She put her stuff into the living room and started looking around.

A few minutes later the doorbell started ringing. "That must be my boyfriend Chris with my furniture," she thought as she rushed over to the door and invited him in. "You want to look around a bit before we start unloading the furniture?" Julie asked him. "Sure I want to see where you live, make sure there's not some dead body hidden somewhere," he replied and then grinned at her.

"I was planning on making this into a guestroom," Julie told Chris once they were in the basement.

"Good idea," Chris said before he started walking around the room. "Hey what's in this box over here?"

"Hmmm, im not sure. I know I didn't put it there. Maybe the previous owners of this place forgot it. Look inside and see if it's anything good," Julie said as she started walking towards him.

Chris opened up the box and starting pulling out crumpled up paper. "Whatever it is they sure didn't want it getting wrecked." After he took out a bit more paper he picked up a snow globe. "Look, there really was more then just paper in here. You should bring this upstairs. Your very first ornament for the house," he said and smiled at her. "We should start unloading that furniture though. I've got to go meet Christine tonight."

"Who's Christine?" Julie asked him as he started walking over to her.

"She's just going to be helping me study tonight."

Julie wasn't sure if she should believe him though since he has cheated on his previous girlfriend.

"I'll just go put this in the living room and then go outside to help."

"Thanks for helping me out Chris. I really appreciate it." Julie said to Chris when they were done unpacking the furniture.

"Anytime you need help just give me a call," he said as he as he looked down at his watch, " I've really got to go though. Christine might not like it if I'm too late."

"Okay see ya," she said before she kissed him bye. She stood there watching while he drove away before she went back into the house.

"I should probably start getting my stuff unpacked so I can actually find it a bit easier," she thought to herself when she was back inside.

Later that night when Julie was in bed sleeping a voice started calling her. "Julie... Julie..."

She woke up and looked around the room. Julie... Julie...

"Who's there? Chris is that you? How did you get in here?" she said nervously. The voice kept calling her, not answering any of her questions. She got out of bed and walked out of the bedroom.

"Julie... Julie..."

She started walking towards the kitchen and noticed a small light coming from the living room. Julie kept walking towards the living room as if she was hypnotised by the light. The light in the living room was coming from the snow globe. Without even think twice about walking towards it she kept going and knelt down beside it. When she looked inside of it she noticed that the little man inside of the snow globe was moving around and it was calling her name.

"Who are you?" Julie asked him as she looked inside.

"Why, I'm an angel that was sent down here to help you," exclaimed the man inside the snow globe.

"What do I need help with? My life seems fine. I've got my own place, a job and Chris," Julie said still looking inside of the snow globe.

"Chris doesn't really love you. He's been having an affair for the past couple of weeks," the man in the snow globe answered.

"But.... I love Chris and he says he loves me too." Julie said sadly as she leaned back towards the wall. "I knew I shouldn't have believed him when he said that Christine was just going to help him study."

"Don't worry I can help you out so that he will love you."

"How? Tell me so I can go do it!" she said as she quickly leaned towards the snow globe excited.

"Turn the snow globe over and you will notice a small bottle attached to the bottom. Take the bottle and drink a bit of it. The next time that he sees you he will be madly in love with you," he said reassuringly.

Julie quickly turned the snow globe over and took the bottle off the bottom. "Do I have to drink all of it?"

"Not all of it. Just a little bit,"he said to her as she was putting the snow globe down again.

Julie started drinking some of it but as soon as she did she was the one in the snow globe and he was outside of it. "How did I get in here?" She asked worried.

"The liquid you drank made us change places. Don't worry though. I'll attach it to the bottom again and you can just trick someone else into drinking it," he said as he attached it again. "Aahh, it's so nice to be out of there finally. Well got to go before someone thinks I've killed you. That would be such a bad way to start off again."

"After two months of searching, Julie Thompson is presumed to be dead. Her belongings will be auctioned off this Friday."

That Friday at the estate sale a young girl was looking around. "Mommy, can I have this snow globe?" "Sure dear. I don't see why not," her mother replied.
