Within
he stardust swirled about my head and flew to places unknown before I
discovered you. It left me grasping to feel it's cool sweetness and longing
to touch it's shimmering brightness, only to find it out of reach and leaving
me to want more.
Many times I longed to feel the beauty of a touch within, the heat of one that lived deep inside myself but gave me no indication until the time was right, the embrace of a force unknown. Until I discovered you, it did not happen.
But alas, a day came when, as the stardust flew over my head, I touched the sweetness, and soon thereafter I felt a warm embrace. One that tugged at my heart and touched my soul, one that brought tears of joy.
You were there, deep within, all the time. You're arms waited to embrace, your soul waited to touch..but only if I were to finally acknowledge your presence. I longed, lusted, loved, and wanted but never acknowledged the truth within me. I lived one step from total satisfaction, one inch shy of a total embrace...and only to say to you, "I know you're there, please come out," Would have been far too easy I suspect, so I continued. I did not truly live, but existed. I did not truly love, but lusted. My existence did not matter, I did nothing to make it so.
Once embraced, however, I became vibrant, alive, able to feel what I never felt before.
Not only did I touch the stardust, I rode on the shimmering brightness, not only did I embrace the heat, I became it.
And now, my discovery intact, I live, love, exist to the fullest. For I am complete, whole, and you have made me this way. Thank you for finally showing me how to live, thank you for being within.
